Loving You

How far are we willing to go to save a relationship?

Below are some ideas that may help you understand what your partner looks like.

1. Ask your partner how they know you love them. Ask them what you do that makes them feel loved. Write it down. Never make light of it or laugh. It is serious and in the end, it can help salvage your relationship.

2. When you perform what signifies love for your partner, for example, if you cooked a homemade dinner make sure you say aloud, "I did this because i know it symbolizes love for you." Your partner will feel loved, and special. They know the work that went into it, and they appreciate your thinking of them. They also know you listened to them, and this makes them feel more loved.

3. Never keep score of who is showing love more often. Love is real; it is serving of another person because you value and love them. It comes from the heart, not the pocket book. With real love, the scale is always unbalanced.

4. Along with asking your partner what love looks like, ask them what you do that damages your love. Write those down and work on avoiding them. If you slip up, catch yourself tight away (the tendency is to hide these behaviors so your partner won't notice) and tell your partner up front, "Iam sorry, I messed up. Please forgive me."

5. A good relationship is all about negotiating. It is about not letting "me" get in the way of "we". I don't recommend taking a grenade for anyone nor would I personally throw my hand on a blade for anyone. Although this may change if I saw it in reality; sometimes we don't know what we would do for another.

Less dramatic and risky is to ask and watch your partner how you can show them love. Humans can survive without money, but not love. Why not share with your partner what being loved looks like to you?

Is silence golden?

SOMETIMES, silence can be a good thing. This quiz helps you tell if the silences between you both are help or a hindrance.

You spend most evenings together watching tv, and hardly exchange a word. Do you :
A. Sit close together, or cuddle or hold hands?
B. Sit apart and feel relieved you don't have to speak or there's nothing to say?
C. Sit and fume : he can never be bothered to talk?

He's depressed and uncommunicative. Do you :
A. Give him a hug. You know he doesn't want to talk, but you show him you care?
B. Bang around and sigh heavily, resenting the atmosphere he's creating?
C. Ignore him. It's his problem?

You're depressed and uncommunicative. Do you :
A. Allow him to hug you, or leave the room, grateful he respects your privacy?
B. Wish he would ask you what's wrong, or try to make you feel better?
C. Feel he's the last person you want to talk to, that it's his fault anyway?

You're having dinner with some friends. Do you :
A. Frequently catch your partner's eye and smile - you know just what each is thinking?
B. Ignore him, thankful that there are other, more interesting people around?
C. Feel you would enjoy it more if he wasn't there?

If you've answered B's or C's to the questions, silence is more damaging than helpful in your relationship. Mostly A's show you've nothing to worry about. There are times when you simply don't need to talk.

What are you working for?

Does work tire u out? R u always in a state of fatigue? Mayb it's time you asked urself, wat are you working for?

Action is the very insignia of life. Where there is no action there is no life. Inaction is tantamount to death. So one is left with no choice but to act.

The roles that we play are varied in life- as father & mother, husband & wife, son & daughter, son-in-law & daughter-in-law, employee, etc. And each role has a challenge. Unfortunately, more often than not, we succumb to the challenge. We are therefore not able to play tat role properly and, what's worse, we are not able to do justice to the other roles that we play. It's a cumulative effect. All because we lack the right attitude in each role that we play.

So what is the right attitude?
If we take the time to observe our attitude, in all our relationships, be it personal or at work, we want our egos to be continuously inflated and fed. What we have to understand is that we are all governed by innumerable laws.

One of the most important laws is that the world is not designed to cater to an individual. So when we interact with the world with an egoistic demand, we are bound to be disappointed and stressed. it is inevitable. The law of life is that no selfish man is ever happy and no unselfish man is ever unhappy.

The human alone does not seem to merge with the totality around him/her. His/her actions alone disturb him/her and the totality, the environment around him/her. And why is that? Because of his/her individual ego.

And how do we liquidate ego? Nature has provided this opportunity to liquidate our ego by performing various duties which necessitates us to identify with a cause beyond ourselves and function with a spirit of service and sacrifice. By doing this, we identify with the totality.

Action is a neutral factor. One can utilize it for mere personal aggrandizement or use it to serve a higher cause. History proves that those who work for a higher cause will be rewarded in highest way. Thus we must from time to time ask ourselves, what are we working for?

Selfish actions tires us, fatigues us, so we look forward to the first opportunity to get away from work on weekends and vacations. On the contrary, when we work for a higher cause, we will realize that work itself is motivating, inspiring, highly satisfying and rewarding and we will truly understand that intense work is rest indeed!

The tendency of human mind is tat it is constantly rushing into past worries and future anxieties. This seems to constantly dissipate our energy. One needs to learn the art of backing our action by keeping the mind in the present. this is called concentration.

When actions are driven towards an ideal beyond one's selfish interest, one develops consistency in action. Such actions generate energy, as water flowing in one direction generates hydro-electric power, wind blowing in one direction has power. Similarly actions flowing in one direction generates energy and dynamism.

Therefore by practicing concentration and consistency, we can be intense at the physical level and restful at the mental level. An ideal action is that when the body is in the law of dynamics, the mind should be in the law of statics.

So, the question to ask oneself is : What are you working for?

Three's a crowd

A third party - whether an ex, mother-in-law or best friend - can coz tension in a marriage. How to you handle it?

Best friend -- I'd invited her to dinner, he was annoyed. but she's having relationship problems & needs support. should i ignore him? Everyone needs private friendships & close friendship of two women is a very powerful relationship. He may feel excluded coz men r often jealous of the intimacy two women can develop. Mayb he's worried u're both laughing at him or that u r disclosing things bout ur private life tat he wouldn't wan another woman to know. Try to call ur friend when he's not around.

Ex -- Do u feel secure in ur relationship? or u anxious bout he's feelings towards his ex? If so, talk to him & u'll probably b reassured & is she really is being intrusive, u can persuade him to do something bout it. Don't b too aggressive - look at it from his point of view. He may feel he has a duty towards her. But avoid talking to his ex bout it - it's up to him to sort out the problem. Accept tat u can't make her disappear. She is part of his past, but she is his ex. U r his present. Even so, bear in mind tat many men r flattered if their ex still seems to 'need' them - it doesn't mean tat they wan to return to their old life; it merely massage their ego!

The Life Which Full Of Joy

It's a simple philosophy.
When you follow your passion,
and everything you do is driven by joy,
success is a natural outcome.
Through the years, we've given
the world the keys to Joy,
and they've enjoyed.
This is the joy that gives nourishment our success.
This is the Story of Joy.

1. Step into the future.
2. Experience love at first sight.
3. Make every journey an adventure.
4. Go on a road trip.
5. Never stand still.
6. Don't forget to play.
7. Be open to new places.
8. Never lose sight of your dream.
9. Discover a new place every day.
10. Seize the open road.
11. Take a different route.
12. End each adventure by starting a new one.
